Chemical Hygiene and Instrumentation Officer & Natural Sciences Instructor

Maryville College, a selective four-year liberal arts college, invites applications for a full-time staff position in chemistry. The M.S. in chemistry or a closely related discipline is preferred; bachelor’s degree is required. The ideal candidate will have experience with a wide range of chemistry instrumentation, including GC, GC/MS, HPLC, FT-IR, and/or NMR.  Routine maintenance and repair of scientific instruments is the primary responsibility of this position. This position will also serve as the Chemical Hygiene Officer for the Natural Sciences Division and campus at large, and training will be provided upon employment, if needed. Teaching responsibilities in instrumental and analytical chemistry are possible with this position. Assistance with the preparation and delivery of introductory science labs will also be expected.
