Biology Classes at MC: Location, Location, Location | Community Lecture

In this community lecture, MC Professor of Biology Dr. Drew Crain will discuss the unique education that MC students get in the east Tennessee outdoors, including the College Woods, the MC orchards and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. An orchard walk will follow the lecture. Free and open to the public.

MC Theatre presents: “Impulse” by Cameron Hite | Theatre Production

Clayton Center for the Arts, Haslam Family Flexible Theatre

“Impulse,” written and performed by MC senior theatre major Cameron Hite as part of his senior thesis, is a comedic one-man show that deals with the life and experiences of a young man living with Tourette’s Syndrome. Tickets are $10 for adults; $7 for area students and seniors; and free for MC students, faculty and staff. For tickets, please call the Clayton Center Box Office at 865.981.8590.

Homecoming Music Medley | Performance

Clayton Center for the Arts, Plaza & Harold and Jean Lambert Recital Hall

Hear some of Maryville College’s finest as they present their musical talents at the Clayton Center for the Arts. Voices of Praise will perform at 10 a.m. on the plaza. Off Kilter and the Lads & Lassies will perform at 10:30 a.m. on the plaza. At 11 a.m., the MC alumni choir, Off Kilter Reunion Ensemble and the MC Concert Choir will perform in the Harold and Jean Lambert Recital Hall. Free and open to the public.

Ensembles include the Scottie Singers, a youth choir for students in grades two through five; the Scots Chorale, an ensemble of intermediate and middle school-aged singers; and the Highlander Chorale, a high school-aged student ensemble. The Orchestra at MC, under the direction of Mathew Wilkinson, and the MC Community Chorus, under the direction of Alan Eleazer will join forces to present Handel’s “Messiah.” Tickets are $5 for adults, seniors and area students. Admission is free for MC students, faculty and staff, although a printed ticket is required for admission. Tickets can be purchased online or by calling the Clayton Center Box Office at 865.981.8590. Due to the popularity of the performance, attendees are strongly encouraged to purchase tickets in advance.
