Mr. Schuetz holds a bachelor of music degree in music history and literature with a performance certificate from Ohio University and a master of music degree in percussion performance from the University of Tennessee.

In addition to studying with Guy Remonko, Roger Braun, F. Michael Combs, and Keith Brown, Mr. Schuetz has studied with major tabla artist, Chandrajit Chartur Lal. He is the adjunct instructor of percussion at Maryville College and Pellissippi State Community College.  He also was the lecturer of percussion at the University of Tennessee during the 2010-2011 school year. Mr. Schuetz also teaches at several city schools in Maryville and teaches privately in Knoxville, TN.

Mr. Schuetz performed with the Southern Stars Symphonic Brass from 2009-2011.  He also performs with the Oak Ridge Symphony Orchestra, the Knoxville Pipes and Drums and many other local bands. He is a member of the Percussive Arts Society and the East Tennessee School Band and Orchestra Association. Mr. Schuetz gratefully endorses products from Innovative Percussion, Grover Pro-Percussion, and Crescent Cymbals.
