MC radio station WZUP set to launch Jan. 30

After nearly 10 years of conceptualizing and a year of hard work, WZUP is set to deliver its first broadcast on January 30, 2003.

WZUP is Maryville College’s campus radio station, founded by students and operated by students. All news, sports, and forum content is designed and produced by Maryville College students. Musical content featured on WZUP reflects the tastes and interests of students, indicated by a variety of student satisfaction surveys.

WZUP operates using the campus network and reaches a potential audience of approximately 1,300 students, faculty, staff and administrators.

WHO: WZUP Scots Radio.

WHAT: Premier broadcast!!! Music will reflect a variety of tastes and will include Rock, Alternative, Rap, R&B, Blues, Jazz, Country, Classical and much more.

WHEN: 7 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 30.
