MC Homecoming scheduled for Oct. 19-20

Maryville College is inviting alumni, parents and friends back to campus for Homecoming on Oct. 19-20.

Activities range from sports match-ups to musical performances to a parade led by the Knoxville Pipes and Drums.

Kickoff for the Maryville College-LaGrange College football game is scheduled for 2 p.m., Oct. 20, on Honaker field. Tickets are $6 for adults; $4 for students; and free for children 6 and under.

“Homecoming is one of the most meaningful and exciting times of the year,” said Andrea May, director of alumni affairs and outreach. “It gives the entire Maryville College family – students, alumni, faculty, staff, parents and friends of the College – a time to gather and celebrate this special community.”

The annual Maryville College Harvest Crafts Festival and Bake Sale will be held on Sat., Oct. 20 in the main building of the Clayton Center for the Arts. Approximately 50 vendors will be set up from 9 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. This year’s event offers a unique variety of items. Read more:

A Music Medley on the outdoor plaza of the Clayton Center for the Arts will begin at 10 a.m. on Oct. 20 and will include performances by Voices of Praise, the MC Concert Choir, Off Kilter, the Lads & Lassies and the Alumni Choir. Off Kilter is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, and this year’s Music Medley will feature a special performance by the Off Kilter Reunion Ensemble. Read more:
