Support your student…

Surprise your student with a letter, an e-mail or phone call. Show interest in his or her co-curricular activities. Offer special encouragement at mid-term and exam times.

Stay informed…

Find out what academic courses your student is taking. Ask about professors, friends and roommates. Read letters, newsletters and magazines sent by the College. Talk to other parents. Attend Parents Council meetings.

Attend campus events…

Save weekend dates for Parent Orientation, Family Weekend and Homecoming. Watch for announcements about athletic competitions, concerts, lecture series, recitals and theater productions taking place on campus and encourage your student to attend.

Participate in the parent fund-drive…

Each year, the Parents Annual Fund Drive raises money to support areas such as the Library, various academic programs, MC athletics and much more. Parent participation is key to the success of your child’s school. A high level of parent participation allows MC to compete for larger grants from foundations and corporations. Each year, MC students and parent volunteers make phone calls to MC parents as part of the Annual Parent Phonathon. You can support the Parent Fund Drive by making a gift or pledge when you receive a call. Your gift, no matter the size, goes a long way in supporting MC students.
