Site Requirements
General
This site is best viewed in the latest version of either Firefox or Microsoft Internet Explorer web browsers for Windows, or Safari or Firefox browsers for Mac (OS X). You can download these browsers from the following web sites (Safari is included in the Mac operating system):
Firefox: http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/central.html
Microsoft Internet Explorer: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/default.asp
Earlier versions and/or other web browsers may produce unpredictable results when viewing the site. With the latest browser, you’ll be able to enjoy our site, and others, as they were intended to be displayed. You'll also be using browsers that are more compliant with web standards.
Your computer monitor should also be set to a minimum of 800 X 600 pixels screen resolution.
Platforms
We regularly test our site on both the Windows and Macintosh operating systems. However, the vast majority of our site visitors (over 90%) use Windows-based computers. As a result, our site is designed to display best in Windows. Mac users may notice slight variations in page layout. We have found the best results for Mac in using the latest version of the Safari or Firefox browser (above).
Plug-ins
Currently, we offer downloadable versions of site pages and other documents in the Adobe Acrobat Reader (PDF) file format. You’ll need the free Acrobat Reader browser plug-in to access these files. You can download the plug-in from the Adobe web site.
Our Campus Map & Tour page provides “virtual tour” content using the iPIX browser plug-in. You can download the plug-in from this address: http://www.ipix.com/downloads.html
The MC web site includes pages that require the Flash browser plug-in, which allows for animation, audio, and video content. You can download the plug-in from the Adobe web site.
Javascript
In order to use the navigation menus, photo galleries, and other sections of the web site, you’ll need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser. If you choose not to enable JavaScript, you can navigate to almost every page on the site by using the site map.
Cookies
Some sections of our site require that you have cookies enabled in your browser. For more information about cookies, see the privacy policy.
Bugs/Known Issues
As previously mentioned, our site displays best in the latest version of the browsers mentioned above. Most AOL versions will also work properly, although AOL users may see lower quality graphics than viewable through other browsers. To correct this issue, check your AOL Internet (or "WWW") preferences, locate the option that says “use compressed graphics” and deselect that option.
