As MC assistant athletics director for communications, Eric Etchison ’88 works hard to keep MC alumni and friends informed about athletics at Maryville College.

The Campaign for Anderson Hall

Martha Hess
When Anderson Hall was constructed in 1870, it was simply a three-story, brick rectangular building. In this video, former registrar Martha Hess ’67 talks about the addition of the “Fayerweather Annex” in 1892, which doubled Anderson Hall’s size.

Two works by Dr. Carl Gombert have been selected for the prestigious Red Clay Survey competition (one receiving the Purchase Award). Also, Gombert and Mark Hall have had work selected for a national juried exhibition in Massachusetts. Read the release

Athletics

USA South LogoCOLLEGE NOW OFFICIALLY, ENTIRELY IN THE USA SOUTH CONFERENCE

The football program has competed in the USA South since 2005, and as of July 1, all of the College’s teams will compete in this conference that includes schools from Virginia to Georgia. Read more about MC’s move to full membership.

Theatre PosterTHEATRE FESTIVAL GETS UNDERWAY JULY 27

Six productions in three days! The festival, which celebrates community theatre, opens with the dedication of the Nita Eckles West Stage, scheduled for 5:30 p.m., July 27. West taught drama and speech for 42 years, starting the College’s theatre department in 1899. Watch the Clayton Center website for details.
