Glimpse Black Student Leadership Conference

Maryville College recognizes the importance of celebrating diversity as a vital part of higher education. In an effort to build bridges with other members of our higher education community, Maryville College is planning its second Black Student Leadership Conference.

The Glimpse Black Student Leadership Conference seeks to help students take a glimpse at the past, present, and future of African American leaders and is an opportunity to empower our students to take on active leadership roles on our campuses. It will also serve as an arena for discussions about issues concerning students of color at small, private colleges and universities in Tennessee, Kentucky, and Georgia.

The conference will prepare students to cultivate multicultural student organizations that provide a positive environment for students of color, while also encouraging participation in other campus organizations and committees. In addition, the conference will provide entertainment and team building opportunities.
