The Community Engagement office in the CCM helps students and campus organizations make connections to service opportunities in the local community and helps coordinate service learning opportunities and community-based research through classes. Representative opportunities include:
• Good Samaritan Center provides free and low-cost health care to those in need
• Student Literacy Corps supports student tutoring at Asbury Acres Retirement Center, various after-school tutoring programs, and the Adult Basic Education Center
• Habitat for Humanity is a national organization providing low cost housing for the poor
• Gardner Place provides a safe place for non-custodial parents and children to visit.
