In addition, students will have the opportunity to obtain personal letters of recommendation from Maryville College faculty, with whom they will work closely throughout their academic career. Students that have completed our pre-med program have gained admission into MD and/or MD/PhD programs at reputable schools including: Harvard, Johns Hopkins, University of Tennessee, Ohio State University, University of Pittsburgh, and Duke University.
While there are many majors that can be excellent preparation for medical school, students that successfully matriculate into medical schools typically graduate from Maryville College with a B.S. in Biology, a B.A. or B.S. in Biochemistry, a B.A. in Chemistry, or a B.S. in Neuroscience.
