Who We Are
The Maryville College Information Technology Department maintains all of the campus technology infrastructure that makes it possible for users to connect to the campus network and access technology services. Specific information regarding the technology services available on campus is located in the navigation menu on the left. Guidelines for using the Maryville College network are discussed in the Maryville College Network and Computer Use Policy, available in the Student Handbook and on this Information Technology Department support page.
Residential students have data ports available in their residence halls in order to connect personally owned computers to the Maryville College network. Additionally, 802.11ac wireless connectivity is available in most areas on campus. Due to the nature of building construction, airborne interference, etc., wireless service is not guaranteed.
Responsible Student Computing
It is each student's personal responsibility to ensure that their devices are kept up to date and free from viruses, spyware, and malware. Additionally, students should make themselves aware of their responsibilities as they pertain to copyright law. Information on federal copyright law and the regulations which Maryville College must follow can be found here: Copyright Information For Students.
