Academics

Broader study. Better experience. Greater purpose.

We offer 70 majors and pre-professional tracks, including a new Master of Arts in Teaching (M.A.T.) degree, so you’re almost certain to find the program that aligns with your career goals. Regardless of your program of study, though, you’ll learn to think critically, problem solve and communicate effectively. All of it will prepare you for your first job, your next job and the jobs that haven’t been invented yet.

Other schools talk about offering internships and having a Career Center that students can access, but our approach is different. Embedded in our curriculum and required of all students, Maryville College Works is designed to give students the skills and experiences necessary to get the job offers and graduate-school acceptances they want.

The CGE offers international student orientation programs, international and exchange student advising, a variety of social, cultural and educational programs throughout the year, and referrals to other campus services to assist with issues related to health, housing, language, immigration and student development.
