Cinda Beeler, age 71 of Lenoir City passed away Sunday morning, January 31, 2021. Preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, Paul L. Beeler; parents, Howard and Lou Bobo; brother, Michael Bobo; grandparents, Howard and Nada Bobo; brother-in-law, Don Brown. She is survived by her sisters, Barbara Badger , Judy McPherson and husband, Randy; nieces and nephews: Kristen Badger, Michael Badger and wife, Kayla, Hilary Hudson and husband, Mark, Jared McPherson and wife, Shannon; great niece and nephew, Elsie and Jonah; sisters-in-law and brothers-in law, Melinda and Randall Morton, Sue Ann and Carl Smith all of Lenior City; nieces and nephews: Carla Tallman and husband, Jim, David Smith and wife, Elizabeth, Gwen Embry and husband, David; several great nieces and nephews; good friends, Dannah Reuland, Augustus Hughes and Angela May. A special thank you to her nurses, Melissa Buckner, Kristie Ellis, Angela May, Roxie Taylor, and Sophia Massong. Friends may come by Click Funeral Home to pay their respects. Graveside services will be held at 1 pm on Friday, February 12th in the Lakeview Cemetery. Click Funeral Home, 109 Walnut Street, Lenoir City is in charge of arrangements.

Evelyn Fletcher Cherry

CHERRY Evelyn (Lyn) Fletcher Cherry Evelyn, a loving wife, mother, and grandmother was born December 10, 1939, in Bellshill, Lanarkshire, Scotland. Lyn died Monday, September 16, 2013, following a month of care by hospice. She was preceded in death by her parents Russell Scotty Fletcher and Jessie Grant Fletcher. Lyn emigrated to the United States with her parents and her brother in 1947, and settled in South Carolina. A short time later the family moved to Jacksonville, Florida where she attended Landon High School and was married. In 1969, Lyn and family moved to Maryville, Tennessee. For many years, she was active at New Providence Presbyterian Church and was a member of the Sam Houston Schoolhouse board and of the short-lived Mental Health Association. Lyn and family hosted several international exchange students and teachers. She was a painter, and for a time, an active member of Fine Arts Blount. Lyn received her Bachelor of Arts from Maryville College at age 51, served as Director of Mail Services, and retired from Maryville College in 1999. She is survived by husband of 56 years, Dr. Clarence (Ed) Edwin Cherry, Jr.; sons and daughters-in-law, David M. Cherry and Cynthia S. Cherry; John E. Cherry and Melanie S. Cherry; grandchildren, Samantha Lyn, Stephen, Michael, and Alexandra (Alex) Cherry, all of Maryville; brother, John Russell Fletcher of Jacksonville, Florida; special family members of the heart, Mitsuyoshi Tamura of Atlanta, Leonel Popol of Maryland, Carrie Betton of Columbus, Ohio and Sharon Carey of Maryville as well as several beloved sisters-and-brothers-in-law, cousins, nieces and nephews in Canada, Scotland, Australia and several U.S. states. A memorial service will be held at 9:00 a.m. Thursday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Carroll officiating. Please, no flowers. Donations may be made in Lyn s name to the local PBS affiliate or to your favorite charity.

Brien Hudspeth

General Notes

Brien “B.B.” Hudspeth was featured in a recent issue of BFS Magazine, a publication of Bigger Faster Stronger.  Bigger Faster Stronger is a Salt Lake City based company that teaches athletes and coaches proper training, technique, and safety for improved performance. The article focused on B.B.’s accomplishments in speed, strength, and conditioning and included a statement by B.B. in how the company had made a positive impact in his athletic career while at Maryville College. It was the highlighted story in the company’s e-mail blast to coaches across the country. As a college athlete, B.B. was rated as an Elite Athlete by Bigger Faster Stronger.  His 100 consecutive dips on the parallel bars performed 30 years ago is the most recorded of any college football player according to BFS records.

Jean Anne Jerney Moore

(January 15, 1943 – August 24, 2023)

Jean Anne Moore, 80, of Fountain City, TN, made her final journey home to the Lord on August 24, 2023. She passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by family.

Jean was born on January 15, 1943, in Johnstown, PA. She graduated from Richland High School, where she met her high school sweetheart, the love of her life, D.J. Moore. They married and later built a beautiful life together with their two children in East Tennessee. Jean was a Registered Nurse. She graduated from Mercy School of Nursing in 1963.

Jean Moore is survived by her husband of 58 years, D.J. Moore, son, daughter, granddaughters, and great granddaughter. She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Julia Jerney; sister, Margaret “Peggy” Kellner; and grandson, Joshua Moore.

is in his third year working as Kingsport (TN) City Police Officer. He and his wife Tiffany just celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary. They have three children, Hannah (18) and afreshman at Liberty University. Porter 15, Nevan 9.

Writes in to share he is in his 10th year as Police Officer for the City of Kingsport, TN. He is currently serving his 6th year as the School Resource Officer at Dobyns Bennett High School his high school alma mater. He and his wife Tiffany have been married for 27 years and have 3 children Hannah 26, Porter 23, and Nevan 17.
