was recently appointed the Director of Music & Liturgy at Prince of Peace Catholic Church (4,000 registered families) in Flowery Branch, GA.

A reception was held in the Blackberry Farm Gallery on Friday, October 31st from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., in conjunction with the Maryville Last Friday Art Walk for Maryville College alumni Erica Beck ’04 and Mary Louise Sullivan ’06. Beck, a graphic designer for Knoxville public relations firm Moxley Carmichael is displaying a collection that represents her illustration style. Sullivan, a bookbinder, printmaker and artist from Nashville, Tennessee is displaying a collection of work titled “Works in Progress and Production.” The exhibit represents an evolution in product design and includes blank book prototypes from her MFA thesis show, as well as “subsequent iterations and products.”

graduated from Maryville College and has worked as an interpreter in schools, colleges, business offices, hospitals, correctional facilities, political meetings and more. Amber attended graduate school at Xavier University in 2011 in Mental Health Counseling and School Counseling where she interned as a case manager for Deaf families and at a high school in Puerto Rico. Since 2013 she has been on the management team at Sorenson Communications, the leader in video relay technology for the Deaf, as the Director in Atlanta and the Asst. Director in Cincinnati. Amber is an Adjunct Instructor at the University of Cincinnati, and has had the privilege of sitting on the Maryville College National Alumni Board for two terms. Writes in to share that in August of 2022, after 18 years as a part-time Sign Language Interpreter for the Academic Support Center, she was hired as the first full-time staff Sign Language Interpreter at Maryville College with responsibilities primarily in the Behavioral Sciences Division.

Has recently completion of her role as the Communications Director for the Urbana 12 Student Missions Conference and is now moving into a new role with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship as Project Manager of InterVarsity’s new Discipleship Initiative. Working for Urbana 12 was an amazing experience that allowed 9,000 college-aged participants commit to serve and learn in a global or cross-cultural setting.

has accepted a position working at the White House in the Council on Environmental Quality. McInnis will serve as a Senior Program Manager in a new position that coordinates several teams, including the Office of Federal Sustainability, which directs all federal government entities on efficient and sustainable practices, as well as the Climate Preparedness Team, which leads the implementation of President Obama’s overarching Climate Action Plan. Additionally, McInnis will be managing over a dozen climate change and sustainability pilots across the country. Prior to this position, McInnis served as communications director, managed EPA’s partnerships with tribal colleges, and served as EPA’s point of contact for several White House Councils. After graduating from Maryville with a degree in environmental studies and piano performance, McInnis served as a trail crew team leader in Alaska and received her Masters of Science in Environmental Science and Policy from the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. McInnis lives on Capitol Hill with her husband, Ariel, and cattle dog, Petal. She currently serves on the Alumni Board and co-founded the Washington, D.C. Alumni Chapter, MC in DC with Robbie Champion, Nicole Winters-Brown, Whitman Brown, and Melanie McGarry.

currently teaches 11th and 12th grade English at Hunters Lane High School in the Metro Nashville Public School System.

is currently at the University of South Carolina in the Ph.D. program. His research focuses on the sociophonetic variation and change in the English varieties of the American South, particularly of the Appalachian region. My ongoing dissertation work centers on the intersection of monophthongization, intonation, and place-based identity in East Tennessee.

recently spent three weeks volunteering in the Rarotonga, Cook Islands (South Pacific) with Global Volunteers. While there, he taught Literacy to elementary students as well as volunteered at a center for adults with disabilities.

of Mount Olive, Alabama went to her Heavenly Father God’s Home on Nov. 24, 2013. She is survived by her beloved husband Dylan Stovall , 3 week old daughter Keegan Leigh Stovall , Dad Steve Blevins, Step Mom Catherine Accinno Blevins ,Brothers Gary Washington Jr. and Stephen Blevins, and numerous loving Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. She was preceded in death by her Grandparents Bernie and Johnnie Blevins, Ola Mae Moore, and mother Jan McCormick. Stacey graduated from John Carroll Catholic High School in 2000, Maryville College in 2004 with a BA degree in biology, a BSN in 2006 from UAB, and a CRNP-MSN from UAB in 2013. She was employed by UAB hospital in the NICU.
